Profile:
Atty. SEK Sovanna has been practicing law for more than 15 years and she was admitted as a Commercial Arbitrator for the National Commercial Arbitration Centre (NCAC) in 2023. Her areas of practice include but are not limited to litigation, family and wills, labour and employment, contracts, due diligence, and alternative dispute resolution. SEK’s litigation matters have covered a wide range of both civil and criminal cases. Civil cases that she has handled include commercial matters, land disputes, family and wills, labour, and loan cases. She also helped and represented clients to file complaints to the Office of the Compliance Advisor/Ombudsman, a recourse mechanism for the projects financed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which is a private lending arm of the World Bank Group as well as the Asian Development Bank. Prior to forming SNB & Associates, Ms. SEK was an in-house lawyer for HML Law Group & Consultants and worked there until 2018. She also has had experience with the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) and served as a Country Deputy Director of the Virtual Tribunal, the court’s legacy project. She has been a member of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia since 2008.
